The Joseon literati would greet the guests at his quarter called “Sarangbang”. 

Which represented each host’s intellectual life, refined aesthetics taste and quiet dignity of the Joseon Scholar (Yangban) –

gentleman. It was a central area contributing to the balance and harmony of the house.
